Most of us that frequent Halo fansites probably know a good bit about the history of John-117 Master Chief and the spartan Blue Team, but if you need a refresher, or might have missed something in the comics, novels or elsewhere, the Halo Canon YouTube channel has a great piece on The History of Blue Team to get you ready for Halo 5: Guardians. Bring Your Own Bros
Like most of the Halo campaigns before it, Frankie has confirmed that there will be no campaign matchmaking in Halo 5: Guardians. Apparently, your squad of AI companions will more than likely be better teammates than a random ‘uncooperative, ammo-stealing, car-crashing diet racist you might have ended up with’.(MacGyver10 18:41:48 UTC)

Podtacular 503: Interview with Gus & Pax Prime 2015 Recap

We’re back from our two weeks off of the podcast as we start counting down the days to the launch of Halo 5: Guardians. While there was not much Halo at Pax aside from Warzone playable at the Xbox booth, there was plenty of things to keep us busy. We are joined by Rebel Rouser and Minolta1034 from Ready Up Live to recap our Pax Prime experience. Before our recap, we had the honor of talking with Gus from Rooster Teeth about his experience with gaming, his thoughts on Halo 5: Guardians and the evolution of video games, and what it’s like to work at a gaming/entertainment company.

ASE Ep. 169 Marathon Tempus Irae 34 I Can Feel It
Blackstar and Narcogen have to reboot the Pfhor computer core in one of Tempus Irae’s most puzzle-filled levels.
We’re fighting the Pfhor in Italy of the past in third party scenario Tempus Irae!
Tempus Irae can be played, like the other Marathon games, using the open source Aleph One engine which you can get here for Windows, Mac and Linux:
Tempus Irae and other third party scenarios for the Aleph One engine can be downloaded here:

There’s a ZIP format archive here:

We use irons’ Co-Op script, (but not this time) which gives weapons and ammo to both players if either picks any up, and prevents weapon loss on death (so items can’t be destroyed in lava or slime). The script also allows one player to teleport to a destination set by themselves or their partner, in case co-op players run into a problem a solo player would have to restart for.

Let’s Play Destiny Co-op #67 Prison of Elders: Skolas’s Revenge
To cap off Year 1 of Destiny just before the launch of the Taken King expansion, Blackstar, Funkmon and Narcogen take on Skolas, Kell of Kells, in the Prison of Elders.
This episode contains only the final boss fight against Skolas and not the waves leading up to him. The boss fight has been edited for length.
