    This amazing 2nd issue of The Blue Skittle magazine comes out with a TON of cool stuff and a bit podtacular in it:

    Check out The Blue Skittle latest issue for a really good issue including some halo 3 beta stuff along with some other very interesting gaming related articles. Also check out Foo Mo Jive’s input and some other podtacular related stuff.

    I also would like to let you guys know that I Dialpex have been invited to be part of the staff of the great group of guys and gals from The Blue Skittle magazine. I have been helping out with some editing, some opinions here and there but mainly involved with the freelance writing part of the site where i get to write some cool articles for this amazing Magazine. You should expect to see some of my writing for the the magazine in the future issues.

    Master NOODLE stopped by with a picture of a new tattoo he got this weekend. While we’re showing off tattoos, our woefully underattended Uploads folder contained two more pics – one from zach “xhostilex” kelsey, who’s been working on a Halo 2 sleeve tattoo on his right leg (he’s trying to prove that he is Halo’s ultimate fan – and dang, this is a great start), and another from Elite BoB, who’s sad that his girlfriend thinks he’s a loser now.     411Mania.com has a summary of the best of E3, and although they felt that Microsoft had blown their chance at locking up the console wars, and although they were VERY unhappy with the Halo 3 trailer, they STILL rated Halo 3 as Best of Show. Heh – not bad.(Louis Wu 12:19:12 UTC)

    Gamepro has posted a Halo 3 Campaign Preview, primarily based on the demo given to the press at E3, but including, apparently, information about the REST of the game, as well. (The conclusion of our forum denizens is that they’ve extrapolated this information from some of the leaks that took place around the Halo 3 beta – information gleaned from extracted maps, the Achievements list that showed up on Xbox.com, and so on – but if you want to be certain that you’re not spoiled with ACTUAL Halo 3 story details, you should skip this read.)   • A look at campaign trailers over the years

    Ever since the E3 trailer was released last week, I’ve seen occasional ‘it doesn’t feel right’ posts describing the emotions generated by the trailer (usually comparing it to older Halo trailers). Some fans have assumed that this ‘offness’ is due to a lack of time, or effort, by the crew putting together the trailer – but that crew is Film Oasis, the guys behind quite a few bits of Halo goodness over the years. They’re not known for their shoddiness. Narcogen, at Rampancy.net, has looked at ALL major Halo trailers, starting at the 1999 MacWorld trailer, and has come up with a different explanation – the Halo 3 trailers, both the announcement trailer at E3 06 and the current E3 07 trailer, are built in such a way that while fans can get a sense for what Halo 3 might have in store for them, it’s hard to build false expectations and hopes based on what we’ve been given. That is: you won’t be hearing a lot of ‘but I really wanted to play that level! Bungie cheated me!’ complaints, as you did after Halo 2 was released (without the E3 03 level in it).     The guys at Gamersyde honored the ‘no filming of the screen’ rule during their private Halo 3 gameplay demo at E3 last week – but they DID film Frankie’s face as he played. You can hear all the content, which is what has many people excited. (The rest – the ones who are excited by 9 minutes of Frankie’s face – those people disturb me.)     Earlier this week at E3 Lite, Microsoft and Bungie showed a video of campaign gameplay and cinematic footage from Halo 3. I’ve planned two pieces as a result. The first one examines the trends in the nature of campaign trailers from Halo 1 to Halo 3, and the other will break down the Halo 3 Campaign Trailer scene by scene, and will be ready later this week.

I like to see some of the things FASA has put in there like the different posters and things and showcase them here, in this video. There’s lots of cool objects and things in Shadowrun maps, and maybe you’ve missed them because your too busy being a ninja. No more. The original idea is credited to Jamie98s who originally did several of these in Halo 2. We talked it over, so he’s cool with it. Enjoy the movie!     First off, I am not lame. What is lame is how we had to sit and hear MINTZ talk about how he wants to join MTV’s latest reality show ‘Under aged and Engaged’. This was almost as lame as hearing Funkmon broadcast from the closet (hah).

    As many of you know, at the E3 Microsoft conference a one-two punch was delivered to Halo fans as we all watched “Arms Race”. Which Bnet described as: A collaboration between Bungie Studios, director Neill Blomkamp, WETA Workshop and Origami Digital LLC, brings the first digital short depicting humanity’s struggle to save Earth. You have to see it for yourself.

    Our devoted follower, DEL360X was kind enough to inform me that Funkmon was going to upload this video for you all. But seeing as how he failed, I’m uploading this video, plus one more for your viewing pleasure.

    This upload is PSP only atm, and being hosted off the server because although I am staff, no one gave me uploading permissions. It’s also zipped. Sorry.
