IGN has put up a quick preview of the upcoming Warzone Firefight update that shows off the Goblin and Wasp in action on a new Warzone map, as well as the new ‘temple variants’ of the wraith, banshee and ghost. Also, there’s now confirmation of the old school beam rifle returning! Just for clarity, David Ellis posted on HaloGAF that Warzone: Firefight is still 8 players, the Wasp will be used outside of Firefight and the three new maps are spread across Warzone, Warzone Assault and Arena.(MacGyver10 20:31:29 UTC)

Some sly extras have just been revealed to be included in the upcoming Warzone Firefight update from an article at Polygon. Alongside the new REQs, maps and Forge canvas, they’ve shown off a new enemy unit called the Goblin and UNSC vehicle named the Wasp. One is a tiny mech unit piloted by grunts, and the latter is a new human VTOL with twin machine guns and rocket launchers. (Thanks Gravemind!)(MacGyver10 13:38:39 UTC)

He says everything else I wanted to say about the new Doom, but better than I do.

imSuck’s ‘HMV Hell 5’ Is Machinima You Need to Watch
SNIPE 316 shared one of the best/weirdest machinima pieces I’ve seen in a long time. It’s also been a LONG TIME since we’ve had an HMV Hell! imSuck has put together HMV Hell 5 that jumps from music video to music video like changing channels on an old TV! The Fireteam Osiris jump out of the pelican and ‘We Don’t Talk Anymore’ parts of the Chief and Cortana were some of my favorites!(MacGyver10 14:32:14 UTC)

Let’s Play Myth Co-op #23 Pools of Iron
We’re playing the next of Bungie’s famous games, the Real Time Tactics fantasy wargame, Myth. Set in a mysterious land of cyclical war and destruction, Myth lets you command a ragtag army in a desperate battle against the forces of the Fallen Lords.
Alric’s secret plan is to use a backdoor World Knot to send a small strike team to attack Balor’s fortress…
In this episode we’re once again using the high definition tagset, made by Ooga Booga, Renwood and Road. The Myth Myth HD Total Conversion v1.31 provides higher resolution units.
Due to the tireless work of many community members over the years, the Myth engine has been modernized to work on current operating systems, although you’ll still need a copy of the game’s data files to play. Check Ebay.
For the engine itself as well as texture enhancements, go to Project Magma:
There’s also multiplayer metaserver available for competitive carnage:
A bunch of other Myth-related downloads are available at The Tain:
