Let’s Play Myth II: Soulblighter Co-op #02 Salvation
We’re playing the next of Bungie’s famous franchises, the Real Time Tactics fantasy wargame, Myth. Set in a mysterious land of cyclical war and destruction, Myth lets you command a ragtag army in a desperate battle against the forces of the Fallen Lords.
Unknown foes are holding villagers from Willow Creek in a cemetary ahead. Narc and Blackstar are confused by the nature of our enemies…
In this episode we’re once again using the high definition tagset, made by Ooga Booga, Renwood and Road. The Myth Myth HD Total Conversion v1.31 provides higher resolution units.
Due to the tireless work of many community members over the years, the Myth engine has been modernized to work on current operating systems, although you’ll still need a copy of the game’s data files to play. Check Ebay.
For the engine itself as well as texture enhancements, go to Project Magma:
There’s also multiplayer metaserver available for competitive carnage:
A bunch of other Myth-related downloads are available at The Tain:
Intro and outro Music “Into the Breach”
by Martin O’Donnell and Michael Salvatori from Myth The Fallen Lords.

Podtacular 545: RTX 2016 Recap
RTX is one of the many gaming conventions of the year, but is probably the most rooted in the Halo community at large with the involvement of Rooster Teeth’s Red vs Blue and Grifball. This year, 343 was able to … Continue reading

‘I’m Here to Give the Covenant Back Their Cake.’ – Halo and Cake Wars?
There have been some pretty outlandish products made under the ‘Halo banner’ of 343, but I’m not sure I ever saw the marriage of Halo and the TV show, Cake Wars.

Kotaku Get All Nostalgic for A Great Trailer from Halo 3: ODST
There’s been few video game trailers that I would consider art or capable of conveying emotion well, but Halo through the years has seemed to do quite well with their promotion pieces. Kotaku just put up a piece on ‘We Are ODST’, and talks about the trailer in detail, even pointing out things I hadn’t noticed before! This is probably my second favorite trailer, right behind the simple diorama trailer with Chopin’s chilling ‘Raindrop’ prelude from the Halo 3 ‘Believe’ campaign. DrBizz Shows Off Speed Run Trick on High Charity
Looks like I completely lost this in email, but DrBizz shows off a recently found trick to get through High Charity in ridiculous fashion quite quickly. It’s not legit, speed-run material, but a very cool trick DrBizz shows off here!(MacGyver10 21:37:37 UTC)

Termacious Trickocity Boards the Covenant Bridge Used in Halo 3 Cutscenes
The folks at Termacious Trickocity have done it again! This time, using a couple of skulls and four players, they spawn inside the bridge room used in a few Halo 3 cutscenes! Looks like a crazy setup, but not ‘too difficult’ if you have four willing players! (Thanks to The SuperWaffle for the heads up!)(MacGyver10 21:50:19 UTC)

Fan Makes Music Inspired by the Halo Games
usadog sent us a track he composed called ‘Flaming Bird (Halo Style)’. While it doesn’t take from the games we love, being one of the first ‘batte games’ he could play, usadog took inspiration from Halo for his composition and after a slow start, it definitely shows!(MacGyver10 17:20:54 UTC)

Random Halo Quotes Shared via Twitter and Our Halo Dialogue Database
We have a lot of useful stuff around this website, but sometimes it might take a little work to find. If you haven’t perused our Dialogue Database in a while, you might be interested to follow VirtualCouch’s new hotness. He constructed a tweetbot to throw out a random Halo quote via @TweetsofHalo on Twitter. You get such great gems as ‘Are we gonna have some kind of problem, Creepy?’ and ‘What are ya, a bunch of school girls?’ in a tweet!(MacGyver10 15:19:37 UTC)

Halo Music Video Focuses on the Beauty and Serenity of the Games
The Vengeful ‘Vadam shared a different kind of music video in our forum recently. It’s low with the action (nonexistent, actually), but instead focuses on the beauty and scenery of the Halo games. It’s really a relaxing look back through all the Halo games 1-5!(MacGyver10 15:16:47 UTC)

Let’s Play Myth II: Soulblighter Co-op #01 Willow Creek
We’re playing the next of Bungie’s famous franchises, the Real Time Tactics fantasy wargame, Myth. Set in a mysterious land of cyclical war and destruction, Myth lets you command a ragtag army in a desperate battle against the forces of the Fallen Lords.
