‘im on fire’ – dangerous screenshot?
Last night, we got a message from a pretty trustworthy Halo 3 player, discussing an incident that occurred in a game played a few minutes earlier. Before the veto countdown had finished, the opposite team sent messages to all players, and one of the recipients opened the image file included in the message – that player’s 360 froze, removing them from the game (and leaving the other team with a 4-3 advantage). The file being blamed as the culprit is on Bungie.net – but is not viewable online. The thread associated with the file suggests that others have had the same trouble, or have used the file to CAUSE the same trouble – and this morning, the warning showed up on our forum, as well. I’m sure Bungie is looking into the issue – but in the meantime, I’d recommend that you not open screenshots sent to you by unknowns while you’re on your 360. (Louis Wu 17:01:16 UTC)

Never Forget Full Score
After transcribing “Unforgotten” into a full score, I decided to do it again for the updated version, “Never Forget”. I did it to the best of my ability, had to guess on some things, but I played it side by side with the Halo 3 CD and it sounded pretty darn close, if not exact, to me. So I think I got it right. Also, at measure 25, I couldn’t quite pin down which key Marty switches to so I just left it in G Maj/E min. until measure 51 when he obviously goes back to the original key of “Unforgotten” (which is A flat Maj/F min). Any question you have, I will be happy to answer to the best of my ability. Enjoy.

Boom De Yada – Redux
Dragoncoals let us know about a version of the “I love the whole world” Discovery commercial song, done (by him) in Halo 3. There’ve been others before (we mentioned this one, back in June), but I liked Dragoncoals’ choice of footage a lot. (The head-bobbing… not so much.) Go watch!(Louis Wu 16:43:58 UTC)

Halo 3 involved in a domestic violence case
It’s too bad Jack Thompson’s been disbarred – he’d love this story of a 38 year old man in New Hampshire who was arrested for punching two young boys each time they killed him in a game of Halo 3. (Me? I think cases like this show the rest of us how twisted we actually FIND that behavior. And the guy himself blamed the violence on alcohol, not video games.) (Louis Wu 16:43:03 UTC)

Unforgotten Orchestral Score (With Piano)
This is a transcription done by myself concerning Unforgotten from Halo 2. There are 3 horns, full string orchestra, and a piano. I do not have a MIDI or MP3 of this file as of yet. Shouldn’t need one anyway. Just listen to the Halo 2 CD. Anyway, hope you like this one.

Pod TV will retern after these few messages.
Hey all, I know things here at Podtacular have come to a halt. The reason for this is because myself and other members of the team are very busy atm. Myself trying to get a nice portfolio together for university which I start in September. And Freak with work and his marriage etc. With this being said we hope to return the show in September with both a video and an audio show. I will have a lot more time on my hands and will be more dedicated to podtacular. The audio podcast that we will bring back will not rival that of the original, it will be a short gaming related show discussing Video games, New Releases, Halo stuff ofc, consoles, and general updates in the video game market. As I say this will be something like a 30 min episode with a few members of the community each week or two. The video side of things will be mainly halo related, MLG games, Top 10, Walkthroughs etc. But we will be bringing review frenzy to a video format as an additional show.
All i ask of the podtacular community is to stay strong and look forward to hopefully a very enjoyable future here at Podtacular.com
You can help us out in the mean time by staying active on the forums and donating to the hosting bill.
