Selling the Movement
Bungie’s Bill O’Brien answered a bunch of questions asked by an animation student… and the read is fascinating, even for those of us who know very little about the subject. Go read!(Louis Wu 22:23:22 UTC)

AH: Gears 2: TU6, Triple XP and DLC Discount!
Title Update 6 that was previously mentioned last week went live today and boasts a number of fixes and updates to matchmaking and Horde mode.
To celebrate, Epic Games will be making all modes subject to triple XP this weekend, starting tomorrow, May 27th at 2PM GMT. The triple XP will be on offer until Tuesday June 1st at 2PM GMT.
And as the cherry on top of this chainsaw filled extravaganza, the All Fronts DLC pack, which includes the 4 previous map packs, will find it for half price at only 800 MSP. If you’ve already gotten some of the packs, don’t worry, the individual map packs will also be getting a price reduction so you’re not missing out on the good stuff!
Happy roadie-running!

RT: Alan "Priorities" Wake
The real joke in today’s comic is that Gus would be going after an Achievement, any Achievement. That dude is such a lazy gamer…
For the rest of us however, Alan Wake provides a plethora of collectible-related Achievements (enough to fill a virtual storage shed). Luckily Achievement Hunter is there to help.

AH: Split/Second: Splashdown Guide and Convoy, Fearless Zero to Hero Guide
Sup everybody, I’ve got two more Split/Second videos for you, the first of which is guide for three secret Achievements, Convoy, Fearless and Zero to Hero. The second one is for Splashdown, the third episode of the “Season.” I guess I’ll be mixing this all up with a little Blur today, but I’ll continue to push out vids for both of these titles.

AH: Gamers Rapport – 013: Insert "Lucky" joke here

So we’ve hit 13 episodes of Gamers Rapport, and we cover three of the releases last week: Split/Second, with its explosive environments making it Michael Bay-esque, Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, and how despite what Ubisoft tells us, doesn’t feel like it’s between Sands of Time and Warrior Within & finally Alan wake, with its ability to pull off dread in a game. All that, a big mail bag and more in Gamers Rapport /rhyme.
Those voices in your head are none other than Knuckles Dawson, Fragger, & 8BitBass.
Don’t forget to join the Gamers Rapport Group for all the latest news and discussion.

How many kills is that?
It’s Montage Wednesday at Bungie.net:- New Top Ten Halo Reach Beta Kills from Anoj – this one is devoted to Armor Ability Kills. Gotta love the assassination from the invis guy that someone LANDED ON.
- Halo Reach Beta Montage from Mjolnir Battle Tactics – it’s called ‘Dominate’, and it’s certainly full of pwnage. (Very funky interlacing, though…)
- Abstract360.com put together their own Community Montage – lots of fun to be had.
- DevilDawg posted ‘Lost’ – a personal Reach Beta montage. Fast clips.
- Reach for Muggsy is Muggsy’s entry in the HaloMontage Reach Beta Montage Contest – understated editing.
Nice lunch break footage!(Louis Wu 17:00:49 UTC)

Don’t be a jerk.
kapowaz pointed out a piece at PC Gamer; it’s an object lesson as to why you shouldn’t teamkill. I couldn’t help thinking that if he’d just shaken his head at the first betrayal and moved on, he’d probably have had a much better night… (Louis Wu 12:55:06 UTC)

Reach Stats apps get new tools
DHalo joined the Potato group at Bungie.net, set up to test the new Reach Stats API that Bungie is developing; his first attempt at a program is now available for download. Check out the screens, and grab a copy before the Bungie.net Reach stats pages are offline! (Louis Wu 12:54:05 UTC)
