Reach Snippet from Controller Montage
For Halo fans who don’t want to download the entire 170mb Controller Montage off Xbox LIVE Marketplace, we’ve uploaded just the Reach bit at the end (it’s just 10 seconds long): WMP9 format (6.8 mb) | QT format (7.2 mb). Contains equal parts of campaign and multiplay – but there are definitely some worthwhile moments to peruse on pause! Enjoy! (Louis Wu 14:46:02 UTC)

Reach Footage in Controller Montage
If you live in Great Britain (or possibly all of Europe), you have access to a video called ‘Controller Montage Trailer‘ on Xbox LIVE Marketplace. According to 2900d4u,[It] shows a few seconds of reach footage at the end of the video. Grunts dropping out of a phantom, a brute chieftain and a new futuristic city level can be seen.
No access to this for those of us in the US, unfortunately. Updated: I’m wrong, there’s a US version. Thanks, Dani!(Louis Wu 14:23:11 UTC)

AH: Race for Cybertron

Our slew of Gamerscore races continues with Transformers: War for Cybertron, the upcoming title based around the beginning of the original Transformers series, and not the explosion filled movies of recent years.
We’re running the Race for Cybertron for everyone to join in to see who can reach 850 Gamerscore in the game, this removes the three online rank achievements that require you to get over level 25 in any class. If you’re insterested in joining, check out the Race for Cybertron page and leave your Gamertag in the comments.
If you’re unsure on the game, I suggest you download the multiplayer demo that is exclusive to XBox Live, put it in your download queue here!
Transformers: War for Cybertron is released June 22nd.

RT: Liveblogging the Microsoft Press Event!
Hello World,
Jack and I are about to head into the Microsoft E3 Press Event, which means we’re about to start live blogging it here. If you want to know what they announce, as they announce it, check that page out. We’ll also be filming a special episode of A.H.W.U. soon after the event, recapping everything we saw, so there’s that to look forward to as well. If you want to chat about the event, you can use the comment thread here for it.
Keep in mind, the conference itself begins at 10:00am PST, so it won’t really start rolling until then.

AH: Jack and Geoff check out Natal (aka Kinect)!
Hey guys, Jack coming to you all the way from Los Angeles, California. It’s kind of late out here, and I may or may not have had a few drinks, but I figured I should share what happened to Geoff and I tonight at the Microsoft Natal event.
First of all, we got in to Los Angeles and once settled in to our hotel, we got our lay of the land.

After a quick bite to eat, we headed to the Microsoft Natal event. We thought we were there kind of early. Turns out, we were not.

Once we managed to get inside, they handed us a space poncho. Everyone wore them. I did not drink the Kool-Aid, I promise.

Geoff was super happy about wearing his Space-Poncho.

We entered the Galen center, but instead of it being the Galen center, we actually entered some kind of crazy future-rainforest. It was like Biodome 2 except with less Pauly Shore and Younger Baldwin Brother.
We weren’t supposed to take photos, so I didn’t, cause I’m a good boy. Just let it be known that I saw a girl walk upside down and a couch suspended about 100 feet up in the air. It was bonkers.
The event didn’t actually show off any true gameplay, but just a few different examples of what “Kinect” (formerly Natal) has to offer. We got glimpses of a sports title, video messages, a Star Wars themed game and a “game” called Kinect Animals that made me want to pet a tiger. Imagine Tamagotchi 3.0 with adorable-ass tigers instead of weird blocky images. I WANT TO PET A TIGER.

As we were leaving, they handed us a stuffed animal with a USB wrist-drive around it’s neck. The one above is the one I picked up.
All in all, I wasn’t super excited about Natal/Kinect before, but I at least am curious about it now.
Microsoft will be showing the event on MTV and Nickelodeon this upcoming week, and eventually it’ll end up on Xbox Live, so you can watch it yourself! Aren’t you super excited??
We’ll have more as we liveblog the Microsoft event tomorrow, but I figured I should write something about the Kinect event tonight before I pass out. Stay tuned for more info as we cover the crap out of E3 2010!
Love you, sweet dreams.

Sabre – Biggest Pants-Wetting Moment of Keynote
If you could get away from work or school, and were watching one of the E3 live feeds, you recently saw the Halo: Reach single-player demo… and it was pretty amazing stuff. If you missed it, though, don’t worry; it should be live on Bungie.net in the next half-hour or so. (We hope.) We’ll update this newspost when we see it! Update: News is posted now, download is available in WMP9 and QT format (both 360p and 720p), as well as iPhone format. Update 2: Looks like what’s on B.net is NOT what was shown at E3; it’s an edited (and much shorter) version. You can see a ripped-from-the-feed version on YouTube (thanks, overdoziz). Update 3: Gilver pointed out a higher-quality version of the E3 vid at IGN.(Louis Wu 18:16:34 UTC)
