In preparation for Crackdown 2, Jack and I took good old Crackdown 1 for a spin the other day, and made an easter egg video. Think of it as a walk down memory lane…

Geoff and I are back in Texas, where it is super hot but things are cheaper, and we bring you this fancy new AHWU. I baked it myself.

The Crackdown 2 demo is available to download from the XBox Live Marketplace today, and not only will you get the chance to experience both single player and 4 player co-op in the campaign, but any actions that unlock, or assist in unlocking achievements will carry through to the full game. What that basically means is, you could load up Crackdown 2 and already have a decent amount of Gamerscore. Of course you won’t know just how many achievements you’ve unlocked until you get into the final game, you won’t be notified during the demo once you’ve fulfilled the requirement for an achievement, apart from the collectible achievements like the Orbs and Audio Logs that will have progress tickers.

But wait, there’s more! The game has a Facebook app tie in, play Chuck’s Ducks and earn not only an additional difficulty level for the demo, but also Quackers, which are rubber duck sticky bombs that you would normally have to collect in the main game. All the Quackers you earn in the Facebook game will carry over for use in the full retail game! Good eh?

I don’t care what Leia says, that fish has been with us since day one…

Transformers: War for Cybertron rolls out into US stores tomorrow (with the EU having to catch up on Friday), if you’re getting it why not join our friendly Gamerscore race. Today’s your last chance to enter.
