Damian Lacedamian is a talk show host over at This Spartan Life who has decided to graciously give us an interview into the inner workings of TSL and a special sneak peek into what’s coming to Waypoint tomorrow. Here’s a hint: massive Rube Goldberg machine as a music video. If you want the answer, take a download. Damian also reveals the schedule for their new deal with Waypoint, which will be addressed in a video that will be released on Waypoint as well. You may see a familiar face on there as well ;) . Enjoy

  • You wouldn’t like him when he’s angry.

Well… she hit it. (Geez. It’s impossible to make a statement about Hawty McBloggy without a potential double entendre, it seems.) Friday Caption Fun has made it to 100 rounds, and in honor of the extra digit, she’s broken the ‘no photoshop’ rule. Check out the latest shot… and see what you can come up with!(Louis Wu 10:59:44 UTC)

  • Paper Marine Helmet

hyokin decided to put together a paper Marine helmet – took him a few hours. Amazing what you can do with a few hours!(Louis Wu 10:58:54 UTC)

  • Deja View Analysis

Jagged went through the Deja View video second by second, and pulled out many of the notable tidbits; it’s the first list of its kind I’ve seen. Pretty impressive list!(Louis Wu 10:57:36 UTC)

  • Relentless Teaser

Kral let us know that he’s finished up a teaser for Chrisdx1’s upcoming montage called “Relentless” – you can find it on YouTube, or grab a downloadable version from FileFront (720p, 71 mb). Just a minute of gameplay, but some nice synching. Take a look!(Louis Wu 10:56:58 UTC)

  • Customs Clan Does Halo 3

What happens when a group of fans get together and decide to see how funny a cutscene can be if the dialogue is redone with odd voices? One answer can be found on YouTube – the Customs Clan redid the final Floodgate cutscene. (Miranda sounds like Daffy Duck!) Oh, the things we do when we have too much time on our hands…(Louis Wu 10:55:53 UTC)

  • Putting out the Fires

Hawty McBloggy solicited submissions for a collection of screenshots showing off fans wearing the Bungie-only flames that were made available to the entire community on Wednesday – she got so many she had to put them up in two parts. (Part 1 | Part 2) And while the presentation isn’t nearly as pretty, or as big (and some of the images overlap Hawty’s collections), our forum started to do the same thing – you’ll find the thread here. Thanks, once again, to Bungie, for opening their closet and allowing us a brief but shining moment of dress-up! (Remember that you can wear this any time in Reach, simply by purchasing the Legendary Edition of the game.)(Louis Wu 10:54:28 UTC)

  • Friday’s Fan Fiction

Just a couple of pieces this week, both in the same series – go check the Fan Fiction section! (Louis Wu 10:53:54 UTC)

  • Double EXP Weekend: Maption Sack

Yesterday was a busy day, so we hope you’ll forgive the oversight… but at 2pm PT, Maption Sack went live as the Double EXP Playlist for the weekend. 56 fan-created maps, in a mix of slayer/objective 4v4 gametypes… how can you go wrong? Take advantage; it’s only around until Monday morning!(Louis Wu 10:51:15 UTC)

  • ATR: Team Fortress 2 Engineer Update

The Engineer update is out! After a frantic download I spent a few hours and had tons of fun with the new maps and equipment! It’s been so popular that not only are the Steam servers backed up, but Team Fortress 2 Wiki has gone down too! The next show is going to be all about this update. We’ll give you info on all the new maps, weapons, and equipment. Send in your tips, strategies, thoughts on the new additions, and highlights from your games!

I don’t have a set recording date yet, but it’ll be in about a week or so. That way you all will have plenty of time to play with the update. You can submit at the Around The Ring Contact Form Located Here, or send an email to atr@gmail.com. If you want you can also go under the contact menu above and select “Around The Ring”. Send em in soon!
    Move ‘em out!

  • Forgehub on Podtacular 231

This week’s recording will feature Insane from Forgehub. For those who don’t know what Forgehub is, it’s a hub for forge creations… Not Kidding. If you’ve ever played a good custom, it’s more than likely it’s on Forgehub: including all those fun racetracks. Now is the time to submit any of your misplaced creations you created years ago and see if they stand up to the test of a Forgehub librarian (my custom naming). Use the Big Green Button on the right or send in your submissions to submissions@podtacular.com
