Joseph Haake points out that gXp hasn’t actually pulled the screens yet… the direct links still work (see yesterday’s news for any of them), they’ve simply pulled the news items referring to them. Wonder how long that’s going to last?

Wow… someone’s working fast. All six screens have been pulled from gXp’s site. More info if we get it.

Bungie’s Yeroen says the new movie (and gXp’s screens) aren’t kosher. Oh, well. I was looking forward to a whole lot more.

From Synox, posted at the Core: The movie on the PC Action disc has a fun Marine handstand. Look quick… he posted a bit earlier that PC Action has a copyright on the movie that prohibits its upload anywhere for 6 weeks, so he may have to pull it.

Thanks again to Harry Al-Shakarchi, who sends in the translation of the gXp blurb from the third set of screenshots: “Like we promised we have more pictures of Bungie’s Halo to show you. On the left picture you see one of the alien spacecrafts covered by a perfectly reflecting surface, whilst the right screenshot shows…

They just keep cranking them out… Two more screenshots from gXp… HALO5.JPG and HALO6.JPG. Kudos to MacDrugal, who reported them on our forum less than 20 minutes after we received word from MacDoerk at gXp. Halo5, especially, is a pretty interesting shot… reflecting surfaces showing nicely.

Sanctorum sends us this graphic showing what he can make out from the text in HALO4.JPG (here, locally). Thanks, Sanctorum!

Dirk Adam, Content Director of BU Online (gxp.de), sends us this answer about their pics. He apologizes for his english. 🙂 Thank you for asking first. Well, this is a difficult question, because for normal you may not copy that material to your website. Other sites that already have these pictures loaded might want to…

Kudos to Harry Al-Shakarchi for his translations of the text accompanying the GXP pictures. He sent in both the first Halo blurb (two days ago): “Take 2 sent us these 2 brand new pictures of Bungie’s Halo. Please note that these pics are not from a pre-rendered intro sequence, but from a running game.” and…

An anonymous poster on our forums suggests that there might be a hint to Bungie’s viewing system for Halo in the bottom left corner of GXP’s HALO4.JPG. The first line looks like “First Person Camera”, the second could be “Rotating Camera”. Any image processors want to take a crack at this?

Tobbe points out on our forums that a Swedish gaming site, fragzone.se, has a short blurb on Halo. My swedish is nonexistent, but it seems to be comparing Halo and Quake3, to Q3’s detriment…

Mojo says “Halam is back. Really. I swear.” It’s true. Go see for yourself.

  • HBO News Archive item 604

A German subsidiary of Incite PC, GXP, has posted a pair of pretty amazing Halo pics. We don’t want to add these until we have permission, but if you can’t get to the German site (it seems to be perpetually down), you can find both images at Voodoo Extreme. They’re also available at hl.bungie.org, bungie.org’s…

As mentioned on our forums, MacDrugal re-reopens (?) his halo site, with a new name, and a new focus. Currently has an interesting analysis of the halo on it. Take a look!

Knight sends word that the Halo Network has instituted a Daily Halo Comic. Go take a look! Thanks, Knight.

Helo SETI Team stats for the past 24 hours posted. 5 new members and one astoundingly prodigious cruncher still can’t make up for the theft perpetrated by the buggy SETI accounting. (Sorry about the delay in posting these… Wirehead’s more efficient than I am.)

Mike Dorsey sends us the URL for his new order site, the Fire Warriors, with the caveat that it’s not finished yet.

Matt Soell says thanks for the notes to IDG about Bungie’s presence at MacWorld SF, but please stop sending them now. (Thanks, Nathan.)

Hmm. He sent a canned press release, but we don’t really do canned press release stuff… You should go check out the other-halo anyway. He’s looking for content from you to fill his pages… so you have to visit to see what’s needed.
