  • DixieLAN – first thoughts

Ma1agate was the first attendee to speak up, but a recent LAN party hosted by pooberry saw a number of HBO regulars partaking in activities as diverse as playing Halo, eating Tijuana Mamas, and drinking Dave’s Ultimate Insanity (or not, in Mintz’s case). sorahn took some pictures, and pooberry himself will be adding a writeup…

  • Number One with a Whip

A few months ago, we mentioned a plan by Universal music to find some monks to record an album, after Halo’s theme song revved up the public demand for chanting. Apparently, they succeeded – and the album is climbing the European charts as we speak. Thanks, Anton P. Nym.(Louis Wu 08:58:22 UTC)

  • Tankmen – The Machinima

Scotty let us know that The Social has recreated the classic Flash project ‘Tankmen’ (see Newgrounds for the original) as a Halo machinima. If you’ve never seen this before, be aware that dialogue is probably NSFW (but then, it’s the evening of a holiday, so you’re probably not working…).(Louis Wu 21:56:53 UTC)

  • Arby ‘n’ the Chief: The Movie

DigitalPh33r (and Lemur) have put together Arby ‘n’ the Chief: The Movie; it’s 30 minutes, and there seems to be a problem with the full YouTube version, but if you watch it in two parts, it works fine (Part 1 | Part 2). Master Chief gets a taste of Hollywood… and then some. Thanks to…

Ragegummy, from The Social, let us know about a new gametype they’re promoting – it’s called ‘Dodgeball’. Check out the rules and guidelines – then…
