Twas the Sixteenth of May
Pixelated Pupils is now back online, and their first comic deals with the Halo 3 Beta/Crackdown situation. Nice poem! Thanks, Angelic Lionheart.(Louis Wu 10:02:23 UTC)

Achingly Familiar
We got word from Haloplayer that Lost Cause Episode 15 is now online (in a bunch of downloadable and streaming flavors) at Injured Knee Productions – and this is probably the last Halo 2 episode they’ll make. It’s called ‘Achingly Familiar’, and the Elites have finally found our squad. Uh oh… (Louis Wu 09:57:49 UTC)

Advanced Forge Editing
—
by
Part Three of Ferrex’s trilogy on Forge is up at Bungie.net: Advanced Forge Editing. It covers how to edit objects in ways specific to creating certain goal-oriented gametypes, instead of just piles of fusion cores. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. What this article does talk about a lot is spawning: spawn points and…

Luke Smith posted at NeoGAF that there will be plenty more information about Halo 3 released by Bungie every day before the game launches, including info on Forge, a Halo 3 humpday, and an unnamed “surprise”.

Halo 3 Opening Cinematic
—
by
This looks like a legitimate, if somewhat low quality, recording of Halo 3’s opening cinematic, explaining the Chief’s arrival on Earth. It also appears to confirm the contents of the game story summary posted elsewhere on the Internet. Again– if you don’t want to be spoiled, don’t view!

What’s Coming to Bungie.net
DHalo points out a post on NeoGAF’s forum from Luke Smith, in which he outlines all the new Halo 3 content coming to Bungie.net in the next few days. (The link brings you to the single post; you will see nothing but Luke’s note if you follow it, there are no chances for spoilers unless…

Wanna go to the London Gala?
MffnMn finds himself with a ticket to the London Launch Party – but cannot go. There were apparently 150 pairs of tickets given away – this is a full pair. (It says “non-transferable”, but he hasn’t sent his name in yet, so it shouldn’t be a problem.) If you’re interested, adn you’re over 18 and…

Another Halo 3 Preparation Guide
KEEZY, from PreGameLobby, let us know that they’ve put together a Halo 3 Preparation Guide. A significant number of the points match up nicely with RVideo’s guide from last week – but there are a few extra steps which might be useful. Check it out!(Louis Wu 16:27:38 UTC)

A close look at Jasman’s Energy Sword
Jasman’s Plasma Pistol and Rifle have been news on the toy front for a long time – but until now, I haven’t seen a picture (or a price) for the upcoming Energy Sword. BigBadToyStore is preselling all three – but it’s the $120 sword that surprises me. They’re not promising that this is the final…

Pro-G: Early Halo 3 Play May Get You Banned
—
by
It’s unconfirmed for now (see the “rumour” category) but Pro-G is reporting they have unofficial news that any GamerTags with Halo 3 play associated with them before Sept. 25 could end up with their Live account banned. Heads up, for those tempted by stores breaking street date… even playing offline may result in getting booted…

Break street date – get banned from Live
Interesting… and maybe depressing for some folks who got their hands on Halo 3 early. According to Pro-G, Microsoft has confirmed that they will be banning Xbox Live accounts of folks who play Halo 3 before its street date – and they’ll do this whether you’re connected to XBL when you’re playing, or not. Ouch!…
