Episode 95: Wii round table discussion
Download | “Show Notes” It’s the round table show and this time it has absolutely nothing to do with Halo. It does however have to do with something that a lot of Halo fans are either curious about or have already been playing with, and that’s the Wii! We gathered quite a crowd on this…

Juicy Opportunities
Over at Bad Cyborg, Rockslider has put up a new page called ‘Weapon hot spots’ that details the best places to use each weapon for each gameplay type he’s described over the years. It’s a nice cross-reference if you’re looking for original Halo fun! (Louis Wu 13:43:13 UTC)

Over at H2Vista, rapture noticed 3 new clips of Halo 2 Vista gameplay over at Gametrailers; There’s a clip from Sanctuary, and two from Beaver Creek. The play uses an Xbox controller instead of a keyboard and mouse… but it still looks pretty nice!(Louis Wu 13:39:58 UTC)

From Bears to Bullets
Troy Hurtubise has been working for a while at making a suit that can save a soldier’s life. PlasmaFire thinks it might be the precursor to Mjolnir armor (doesn’t hurt that Troy says he looked at Halo for inspiration); you can find an article and a video in PlasmaFire’s forum thread. Frank Miller’s 300 isn’t even out yet, and it’s already generated more Halo tributes than any other movie. Amazing! Latest in the field (bunch of links to other ones in this post) is a video from eternalscrappy; quality is startlingly sharp. It’s leet.(Louis Wu 21:25:20 UTC)

Xbox Live Infrastructure
It’s time for a late night geek out. I’ve been thinking a lot lately about Xbox Live… not about playing on it, I’ve been doing enough of that for the past couple months to burn a hole my modem. But about how it works, how they built it, what does it take to keep it…

THX Victorious in it’s 1st MLG GoW Tournament Match
It was a bumpy road, but Midnight, FoulBreed, Sparda, and I (Oculus) emerged victorious in a 3 game sweep in THX’s first MLG Gears of War Tournament match this Thursday. Our opponent, The Shadow Corporation, had to play a man down due to an internal human resources error. But even with a man down, SC…
