Wow – it’s been a year?
Exactly one year ago today, a fan project that took on a life of its own kicked off. By the time it was done, some folks were clapping, others were shaking their fists – but all agreed it had made a mark on the fan community. Its mastermind just popped up for cake.

DLC Confusion
There seem to be a number of questions folks have about the new Downloadable Content, and what’s covered (and NOT covered) when you buy it. The Face in the Ring
Didn’t take long… the first egg in the new maps was actually found before they went live (on Turf, you’ll find two cola machines; one with a rooster, the other with teeth) – but now that the maps have been released, a slightly less obvious one has been pinned down. Walshicus on our own forum,…

Artwork needed
The Freelancer Halo mod folks need help with pictures (in-game or fan art) of Covenant and UNSC starships (not fighters). If you’ve got something that will work, drop by.

Mandy Patinkin would be proud.
Last Stand gets two more episodes today – this comic is really coming into its own. Nice compositing, a storyline, and Princess Bride references – what more could you want? Update: looks like Resolute got an update, too.

New maps – available already
Word was that the downloadable content would be available by morning-ish, PST, today – but we just got a report (thanks, Jinno) that it’s already up, at least in some places. Remember – they’re staggering it, so you might not see it right away. Update: Doh – looks like folks have been downloading for hours.…

Friends List Reset Rumor: FALSE
A couple of days ago, a rumor started somehow that Bungie was going to reset your XBL Friends list in the near future. Not only is this ridiculous (Bungie has no control over your Friends list; only Xbox Live can do that), Frankie has specifically denied that Bungie has any interest in doing so. Please,…

Calling on Community Spirit
This one’s a bit… different. Many of you probably enjoy the artwork of Tina Leyk; she does some spectacular stuff, and has been inspiring Halo artists for quite some time now. Unfortunately, she’s hit some rather rough times, personally – so we’re hoping the Halo community might be able to help out. I’ve put up…
