Halo Spikes the Competition
The Spike TV Video Game Awards were given out last night in Las Vegas, and though they won’t air on Spike TV before tomorrow night, GamerFeed has announced the winners. Halo 2 was up for ‘Most Anticipated Game’ – it won. Halo PC was up for ‘Best PC Game’ – it won. (It was also…

A tribute to a friend
Not mine, actually – Morningstar’s. (The tribute, that is. I wasn’t – oh, never mind.) The MorningStar decided there was a missing feature here at HBO – a way to read stories written by forum jester Skavenger, without having to search through the archives. (Skavenger has never opted to submit his works to our Fan…

HaloCity – a growing hub
progamerz stopped by our forum to point out three new sites at HaloCity, all modding-related; check out SomeRhino’s Domain (nice shots of an in-progress map), Skin Deep (shots of racing stripe skins for hogs, among other things), and Digital Adrenaline (no real info yet, just a Flash intro).

Wait, I think you missed one…
In the ‘too much time on their hands’ category, Hikaru-119 takes home the golden penguin for his Munitions count on all campaign levels of Halo. Gah.

Artwork, by the bushel.
A monster collection of Miscellaneous Artwork for you today (17 pieces), due to the fact that the last update was about 2 weeks ago. Everything from misplaced comics, to pencil sketches, to animated mini-movies… a real grab-bag. Go check it out.

Not A Glitch.
Stuntmutt revisits the mystery at the top of 343 Guilty Spark in today’s One One Se7en. Dunno why… I was expecting a ‘Can you hear me now?’ joke instead…

Most Anticipated Game Poll
Poll smash; Gamespot wants to know what 2004 release you’re most looking forward to? Halo 2 is currently on top; if you can stomach the enormous ad to get in, help make sure it stays there. (Thanks to Alucard for pointing it out.)

Gearbox loses one.
Wow. Dave Mertz, lead designer on Halo PC for Gearbox, resigned as of yesterday. Details can be found in this forum thread on Gearbox’s forum. Hmm… I wonder what this means for the 1.03 patch, or the Editing Tools package? Thanks to progamerz for the heads-up.

Caboose Rules.
Woohoo! My Red vs Blue DVD came in the mail today… and man, this thing rocks. I’m not gonna get very much work done in the next bit here… All I can say is, if you haven’t already ordered one of these, go do it. It’s worth the bucks.

Inside Halo 2 – in Hi-res splendor
Back in September, an interesting documentary was shown at the X03 event in France. It was a behind-the-scenes look at the making of Halo 2, created by Film Oasis, the company behind ‘Inside the Xbox’, a documentary shown on the Discovery Channel last summer. Unfortunately, the only version available has been a shakey-cam piece filmed…

I Left My Combats On The Autumn.
Today’s Guest One One Se7en strip comes from Traumatised Marine – and points out the soldier Bungie managed to overlook when they populated the Pillar of Autumn.

Too many words
Once again, a 3-day hiatus in Fan Fiction posting has led to a ridiculously-sized update; 31 stories. (There was one more, valid one… but it was too big, and the database couldn’t handle it. Hopefully, the submitter will resubmit in smaller chunks.) Final Fate: Mankind’s Despise, by Jinkaiden-XI The Final War: Battle for Installation 02…

The Doors Open…
It’s been quite a bit of work, and not all of it’s visible… but mnemesis and Finn have overhauled the Halo Story page, with new design tweaks, new organization, and new information. Poke around, see what you can find… there’s some good stuff in there!

Edged It.
Today’s One One Se7en has MC a tad fixated on the review score Edge Magazine gave Halo PC. We know how that can be. (On a more sober note, for all the folks who misinterpreted my One One Se7en note yesterday – the truth is, I LOVE this strip. I wouldn’t complain if Stuntmutt turned…

What Does It Mean, Anyway?
The sad thing about today’s Halo: Resolution is that we’re STILL getting emails like this, more than 2 years after the release of Xbox Halo.
