Hey - it's not Halo news, but we're still the most active bungie.org subsite, so this is a fine place to mention that Bungie is once again reminding people to sign up for their Beta testers list... you never know what sort of goodies you'll earn!(Louis Wu 17:25:56 UTC)

Confused Dropships

November 29th, 2011
Rockslider has STILL not finished with Jun's Falcon - stop by our forum for the latest details. I'd hate to be a mouse living in his house; I'm betting there's NOTHING left on the plates when he's finished.(Louis Wu 20:41:55 UTC)

The cutscenes we always needed them to be

November 29th, 2011
In October, 2007, our Halo 3 Cutscene Library went live, and a year later, we upgraded it with HD versions of the scenes. Due to limitations in recording equipment, however, audiophiles have always been shortchanged... until now. Cody Miller has graciously re-recorded all of these cutscenes in full 5.1 surround sound - gorgeous! (If you don't have the hardware to appreciate this, it should degrade nicely to standard stereo.) Anniversary upgrades... coming before too long!(Louis Wu 15:58:42 UTC)

In The Wake

November 29th, 2011
Leviathan was playing with the concepts of space and time - and found inspiration in the final cutscene of Halo 3. The art itself isn't necessarily Halo-related - but it IS Halo-inspired... and it's gorgeous. Check it out.(Louis Wu 14:28:34 UTC)

The Greatest Video Game Music Guvaway

November 29th, 2011
Gaming Union is giving away video game music, but you have to guess the origins of tracks to win. Last week's challenge had a Halo track in it - this week's doesn't, but it's still a pretty fun contest! Go play.(Louis Wu 14:24:11 UTC)

In Defense of Halo’s Library

November 28th, 2011
GamePro took a stab at convincing you that The Library is a worthwhile level to play. If you're one of the crowd that never believed that - give it a read. Thanks, ElzarTheBam.(Louis Wu 19:21:09 UTC)

Halo Opening Shot Comparison Vid

November 28th, 2011
Greg2point0 decided to compare the three different versions of the Pillar of Autumn arriving at the first Halo ring (from Halo, Halo: Reach, and Halo Anniversary) in one single comparison vid. (Well, three, actually - one for each version of the audio.) Nice! (Louis Wu 19:20:47 UTC)
