From AgentPaperCraft:
Hello, Waypoint goers! With the addition of community-made content into matchmaking, custom maps and game types have become a integral part of Halo’s multiplayer experience. It keeps matchmaking fresh with all new content and game types that keep us on our toes. Forgers and game type creators often work hours, days and even months on their content before it’s considered for matchmaking, and it’s usually the lack of having a ready player-base to test their maps that it takes so long. So I offer an option to our forgers, a place to bring your maps and game types to have them tested and reviewed by a group of the top forgers around. You’ll receive top-notch forging tips and tricks to wow your players, improve map spawn and flow, provide a better map experience and get your name out there. You’ll also get to work directly with the Community Cartographers, a select group of community Forge enthusiasts who work with 343 Industries in the search of top quality content for matchmaking consideration. Every Wednesday night at 6PM ET, get an invite by sending “AgentPaperCraft” a message over Xbox LIVE, or leave a comment in the Test Night Thread.
Join us this week as we induct another round of our Forge mentoring program, a program where we pair you up with a veteran forger to help hone your skills creating and distributing your custom content. Your mentor will help co-forge your map, offer you a higher level of assistance in understanding dynamic map flow, spawn placement, structural design, and other important aspects of designing your custom map. For more information about the mentoring program, head over to the ForgeHub thread where you can also post your maps for review and testing.

Some people show their love for Halo by playing the games. Others get a relevant image permanently placed upon their body. Enjoy this particular example of a Halo-related body modification, and if you have a picture you’d like to submit for possible future inclusion, send it to bsangel[at]halowaypoint.com!

The second trailer of Elysium was very hard to make!

From Dust Storm:
We take a step into the Halo Universe outside the boundaries of the game and explore the first book in the Forerunner trilogy: Cryptum. Authored by Greg Bear, Cryptum dives into the history of the Forerunners, one specifically named Bornstellar. We follow his journey starting from Erde-Tyrene meeting Chakras and Riser, to meeting the Didact, a legendary warrior. Bornstellar’s journey with Chakras, Riser and Didact reveal many mysteries behind the Human/Forerunner war including the disturbing revelations of the Precursors and the Halo rings. This podcast is full of spoilers so if you have not read the book, we urge you to not listen to the podcast after the Halo Bulletin update. For this episode, we are joined by Eric Neustadter (e), Operations Manager for Xbox Live and co-host of Major Nelson Radio, Nevin Douglas (CruelLEGACEY), creator and producer of Playtime Show and co-host of the Waypoint Community Modcast, and Bryan Newman, Owner of B2 Films and HBO community member. Enjoy!

Welcome to week 4 of the Halo 4 Global Championship! This week contains the largest variety of game types. Each of the Slayer variants this week equip competitors with the corresponding precision rifle and automatic weapon in a single, preset Loadout. This is done to vary the game type from last week’s Rumble Pro selection, and also because the secondary pistols for each category greatly differ from one another. Also, offering the Assault Rifle, Storm Rifle, and Suppressor in the secondary slot creates a consistent experience across all three Slayer game types. Here are the Loadouts for each Slayer variant:
UNSC Slayer
| Loadout | Pro BR |
|---|---|
| Primary Weapon | Battle Rifle |
| Secondary Weapon | Assault Rifle |
| Grenades | 2x Frag |
| Armor Ability | None |
| Tactical Package | Resupply |

|---|---|
| Primary Weapon | Carbine |
| Secondary Weapon | Storm Rifle |

Forerunner Slayer
| Loadout | Pro LightRifle |
|---|---|
| Primary Weapon | LightRifle |
| Secondary Weapon | Suppressor |
| Grenades | 2x Pulse |
| Armor Ability | None |
| Tactical Package | Resupply |

This is the first time that FFA Slayer and objective game types are included in the same playlist in Halo 4, and we’re excited to see how competitors handle the variety of this new mix. With no map voting in the Global Championship playlist, we can be sure that only well-rounded players will advance through week 4. As always, best of luck to all competitors!

I posted the beginnings of this project on HBO several months earlier but just finished a few days ago. I acquired an AR casting from a friend on 405th with the goal of adding a classic weapon to my cosplay. I wanted to take it a step further, however, and not only add lights to the build, but sound as well!
