Give me all your grenades or I shall pull off your head.
Frankie stopped by the forum earlier to note that the Bungie Weekly Update is up. Tidbits on everything from the newest Halo novel, to Halo 3 combat dialogue, graphics, and AI, to Halo 2 for Vista, and some various goings-on in Bungieville. Everything, that is, except info on the Halo movie. Nope nothing about it…

Administrivia – Design a Faceplate Contest
Just a quick reminder – the Design a Faceplate contest closes in about 11 hours. An amazing number of people ignored the admonition to not upload them anywhere but our Contest Uploads directory – I hate to have to do it, but there are almost 50 entries I need to toss because they were uploaded…

The Haxor That Loved Me
Obienator submitted a trailer for “The Haxor That Loved Me”, a sequel to “Gameplay May change During Online Play”, to the MPRRS; great cinematics, a well-thought-out storyline and over-the-top histrionics combine to bring you a pretty funny video. I’m looking forward to the full film! It won’t be out for a few months – so…

Pelts o’ nubblet.
Bungie got sliced, diced, and iced in last night’s Humpday Challenge against the PMS Clan – and KP gallantly ate the crow pie they made of our favorite developers in his writeup. Lesson learned here: Don’t play against the girls… they’ll stomp your butt and walk away laughing.(Louis Wu 01:49:36 UTC)

Honestly Unique and a Radical Departure
Whoa, very nice. Aint It Cool News had a chance to ask Neill Blomkamp a few questions about Halo, and Neill’s goals with respect to the upcoming movie – after reading some of his answers, I’m pumped for the movie. He knows his stuff! (It tickled me to see my graphic work included gratuitously in…

Halo 3 and the Uncanny Valley
LegendaryMark has written up an extensive article looking at the ‘uncanny valley’, that point at which photo-realistic work is close enough to REAL (but not ALL the way real) that it actually looks worse than if it were a bit less realistic – and how this concept might affect Halo 3. Interesting piece! Swing by…

Is he or isn’t he?
As you might have noticed yesterday, an article went up on Xbox.com, announcing Neill Blomkamp as the director of the upcoming Halo movie – and then it went down again, leading to speculation that maybe it was a mistake. It MIGHT be a mistake – but it’s far more likely that it was just a…

Kicking Teenage Hiney
KP, avoiding his duties dealing with Halo Movie rumors, has posted a new Community Spotlight over on Bungie.Net. Anne Wolanski of Seasoned Gamers tells a bit about their group, hyperventilating teenage potty-mouths, and the bizarre way she got into the entertainment industry. Check it out! Spartan Jag noted it on our forum, btw.(mnemesis 00:38:51 UTC)
