The Riot, a weekly Halo Community podcast, is hosting its first ever 2006 Halo Community Awards.  Go there and vote on your favorite gametype, your favorite machinima, or even the biggest Halo community contributor!

This weekend the Bungie Store will be going down for a short period of time, four to five hours, while Sunrise Identity performs maintenance on their servers. During that time you will not be able to use the store.

This week the Bungie Community Team took on the Halo 3 Multiplayer team in a Humpday Challenge. We played a recent build which the multiplayer team itself compiled earlier in the day. Potential for hax and chetz? Astronomical.

With the invaluable help of Robt. McLees, Bungie formally introduces you to The Mongoose, the newest addition to the UNSC’s ever-expanding arsenal with which to wage war against the Covenant.

We take a long, lingering look back at our annus mirabilis (look it up, ‘tards) and the antics and announcements that defined 2006 for Bungie. What’s going to happen in 2007? Oh, just the release of a little game we like to call Halo 3.

Escape Station looks to bring a new interactive experience to the Xbox Live arena by organizing video gaming tournaments and events for gamers 25 and older.

Last week, about 25 Bungie fans and even a few Bungie employees showed up for a LAN at Louis Wu’s house in the remote suburbs of Connecticut. The LAN that followed was of the epic nature associated with HBO LANs. Read on for details and many pictures.
